When I set up Rose Tinsley Consulting, in 2024, I brought with me over a decade of experience in the GIS field. I have worked with GIS (or GIS adjacent teams) at most levels - national infrastructure projects, local councils, and fast paced start ups. Teams used and engaged with data, explored tools, levelled up skills in programming, designed automation workflows, and organisations were serious about their use of geospatial tools. But time and again, I noticed the same gap: the lack of a clear strategy, and even more critically, the struggle to implement one.
Rose Tinsley Consulting exists to address this gap. Our in house expertise combines both a technical and strategic approach to solving problems. Organisations and businesses are usually sat on a wealth of underutilised data. With the right tools and approach, we aim to turn this data into valuable spatial insight to help streamline processes, add value for customers, and leave a legacy of data excellence.
What drives us goes beyond a mission or vision statement. We're guided by a bigger, transformational purpose:
Unlocking the power of place to shape a better future
Planning for the future is at the heart of what we do. GIS is evolving fast, and with the exponential growth of AI tools, it’s shifting faster than ever. A strong technical strategy helps businesses understand how their data and tools fit into the bigger picture, and how they can keep delivering value in the face of change.
We work with businesses who align with our ethos, collaborating at every step of the way to deliver excellence. Since launching, we’ve already supported several clients at different stages of their geospatial journey. What united them was the recognition that strategy matters—and that the right strategy turns data into something powerful.
We hope to share some of these case studies with you over the coming months to give you insight into how real individuals, organisations, and businesses are delving into the world of geospatial analytics.
